OND:06 - BCARE Training The Crisis Intervention Resource Team (BCARE ) assists SRJC faculty and staff in dealing with disruptive situations and includes representatives from District Police, Student Services, Student Health Services, Student Psychological Services, Disability Resources Department, and Counseling. The goal of BCARE is to prevent crises before they occur through the provision of training, consultation, and intervention on request. BCARE is available to departments, staff members for training in dealing with distressed, disruptive, or dangerous situations involving students on college sites. Training will include teaching warning signs of potential crises and tools to cope with difficult situations should they occur. BCARE will clarify the roles and responsibilities of BCARE and other college resources, as well as how to access support services and tools helpful in making decisions regarding crisis situations.
