Fall 2021 Professional Development Activities Day - Call for Proposals: Friday, August 13th, 2021 (Via Zoom)
The Professional Development Committee (PDC) encourages all employees to consider submitting a proposal for a Fall 2021 PDA day workshop. If you feel there is a need that is not being met at PDA day, please consider submitting a proposal or asking a colleague in that area of expertise to submit. For Fall 2021 PDA, we will be continuing our conversations on anti-racism and best practices to support for ourselves and our students as we continue to work and offer classes remotely while slowly transitioning towards a safe return to campus.
Following are potential topics for workshops of interest – please consider submitting a proposal!
Diversity and Demographics
Teaching, Learning, and Student Support
Wellness and Safety
Workplace Effectiveness and Interpersonal Skills
Submit your proposal now, and fine-tune it later – we are here to help you develop your ideas!
Even if you are not able to put together all of the details for your workshop right now, please submit your proposal by the deadline. You will have an opportunity to fine-tune or make changes to your workshop title, description, etc. later on in the process.
Sessions may be proposed as 1.5 hour sessions for all 3 sessions. Discipline and Departmental submissions are welcome but please keep in mind that faculty and other employees are not required to participate in departmental sessions, but may feel obligated to do so. Faculty, Classified professionals, and Management Team are free to choose workshops that are best suited for their interests.
Proposals are due by Friday, May 7th, 2021. Link to submit an online proposal
